Genesee Airport Taxi

"The airport taxi booth was unmanned and no taxis were on standby, so I called the phone number as directed on the booth sign. I was told that a couple of taxis were on their way back. 10 minutes passed and none showed up. I called again, and the phone rep said they would try calling the drivers. Another 10 minutes passed, and none showed up. I called a third time, and they suggested trying some different taxi-service phone numbers posted on the other side of the booth. All three numbers only reached message machines. Meanwhile, a group of uniformed flight officers were also talking on their phone nearby, complaining about waiting 40 minutes. At that point, after 30 minutes of waiting myself and an appointment looming, I installed and tried Lyft for the first time. Got picked up in 3 minutes for half the price. This explains a lot."

"My flight got cancelled and I was given a voucher for an airport taxi to take me home, and come back the next morning. I walked out to the Taxi line up and Charles was the next cab in line. I asked him if he would be able to come back tomorrow and pick me up as well, so I didn't have to worry about the 2nd driver getting lost. He said no problem. We exchanged contact info and scheduled a 3:30 AM pick up the next morning. Charles showed up on time and got me to the airport as expected. He was very friendly and the entire experience was pleasant. Since I was not paying for the ride, I can't complain about the price. However, the 20 minute ride to my home was $48 each way. This is a crazy expensive ride. Uber / Lyft rates were $25 - $28 for the exact same rides."

"I was not going to wait 45mins plus for Uber or Lyft so I waked out and was taken care of right away. Mini van was nice and clean and the older Indian fellow was very nice and polite knew his way right to my location. We had good conversation and shared common ground as he was a Commercial Truck driver in the US for the last 35 years and I am currently a Truck Driver. I read alot of complaints of being over priced but I didn't see it that way my time is worth money and waiting 45mins for a ride share is a joke so I was glad to pay my fee and a $10 dollar tip to boot."
