American Taxi Naperville

"I recently scheduled a pickup for 12:00AM, I received confirmation of my order via text message and email. So to my surprise when we walked out of the convention center at 12:00am I was hoping to see a van (which they stated that I needed to order for a party of 4) just pulling up or possibly even waiting for us. After 10 minutes of waiting, I decided to call American Taxi Dispatch (and no they had not called me to tell me that they would be NOT COMING, nor did they plan to). While on the phone I was told there were no cars available for me in the area and they were not sure when one would be/if at all. I figured by scheduling a pickup it would result in a car actually showing up or to at least pull a car off of a different pickup (no matter the location) to have sent out to me as soon as possible. I can understand if they possibly got behind in schedule and were 10-15 minutes late, but they basically told me at 12am that I did not have a ride and could not tell me when I would have a ride. When asked to speak to a manager about the situation I was then told they did not have a manager on duty. This is unacceptable AND not to mention embarrassing to me, who booked the trip and had another couple accompanying me. I will never be able to feel comfortable with American Taxi services again! If this were my boss accompanying me or a business trip in which they skipped out of my reservation and possibly made me miss a flight or meeting I could have been fired. Book through a different company - not worth the embarrassment or worry if they will show up or not."

"Update: American Taxi Naperville and American Taxi Dispatch are very different companies. The phone numbers are not related even though it takes you to the same website. I recommend using the App to avoid calling the wrong number. American Taxi Dispatch customer service called me to sort this out. *Called for a Cab at O'Hare. Had to wait 1.5 hours for a taxi to arrive, I received 3 calls from drivers saying they would be there in 10-15 minutes and they never came. After the third call I decided to take a city cab to the suburbs which ended up costing me double of what the ride should have. During this time I also made several calls to dispatch, which after the 2nd call they failed to pick up, I'm assuming to try to buy more time. I am astonished at this service and will unfortunately never be able to trust this company again and will pay parking fees at O'hare next time. If anyone knows an alternative please post. *"

"Reserved a car last night, reconfirmed the booking time twice, and this morning the car didn't show up. Tried calling dispatch, which goes to a voicemail box that is full. 30 minutes later, they still haven't shown up, or even called. Uber showed up in 5 minutes. Crushing it. Enjoy going out of business taxi companies!"
