Groome Transportation

"I am a Marine corps veteran and I suffer with chronic pain. I fly into Atlanta airport and I use groom services at least four to five times a year. I always ask the driver if I can sit in the front seat which allows me to stretch my legs out. All of the drivers that pick me up from the airport allow me to sit in the front seat. My return trip to the airport is a different story. I made my reservation online for my return trip to Atlanta and in the box for comments and any kind of ADA request I request to sit in the front seat on my return trip to the Atlanta airport. I even called the office days before to speak to someone about my request. I was told that I would have to ask the driver if it was okay if I sit in the front seat and it was at the driver's discretion if I would be allowed to sit in the front seat. The driver that arrived at the Athens office was named Don Cooper. I spoke to Don Cooper when he arrived to pick us up and I explain my situation to him about my chronic pain and ask him if I could sit in the front seat. Don Cooper told me that he had one stop to pick up another passenger and the front seat was reserved for elderly people and anyone that had any type of disability. I'm 60 years old and disabled veteran. Before we left the Athens office I told Mr Cooper I fit that criteria I am elderly and I'm disabled. Mr Cooper said that he would have me moved to the front seat when we arrived to pick up the next passenger. I got inside of the van and both of my legs were bent with no room to move. Mr Cooper left the Athens office he drove about 15 minutes to pick up another passenger. The passenger that he picked up was a young yt lady no older than 25 to 30 years old she was in perfect health. Also the van was not completely full there were empty seats behind me. Don Cooper immediately open the front door for the young lady and not only did he open the door for her he slid the front seat backwards for her. Now I had less space to move my legs. He told her where the fire extinguisher was located under the seat. The young lady got in the vehicle and we proceeded to Atlanta which at that point we had about a hour and 30 minutes to 2-hour drive. I suffer in pain the entire trip to the airport. Both knees were swollen and very difficult for me to walk when I arrived at the airport. It's been two days now and my pain is still elevated. Let's be truthful. I did not have the complexion for the protection. I call the office and I spoke to Jasmine only thing I can say is that she was very rude and disrespectful."
