TAXI MIAMI HOTELS AREA CAB

"Unfortunately, we didn’t have a great experience with Spring Cabs. My boyfriend and I were vacationing in Miami and took a cab back to our hotel in Miami Beach after the Morgan Wallen concert at Hard Rock Stadium. It was a mess trying to leave, so we ended up flagging down a cab in the chaos—without checking the rates first, which I know was my mistake. The stadium is about 11 miles from our hotel, and the drive typically takes around 26 minutes. With traffic, it took a bit longer—but nothing extreme. Still, we were shocked when the meter totaled $101.56 for that ride. I understand prices can be higher on a Saturday night in Miami, but that felt completely unreasonable for such a short distance. The driver was polite and opened the doors for us. The cab was clean, and the seats were comfortable. However, he never used GPS, which was concerning—especially since the route he took felt much longer than how we got there. That added time likely contributed to the high cost, and after reading several 1-star Yelp reviews mentioning similar issues, I don’t think it was a fluke. The driving also wasn’t great. He braked constantly—even when it wasn’t necessary—stopped at green lights, and swerved quite a bit. I felt nauseous by the time we arrived. While I’m grateful we made it back to our hotel safely, paying over $100 for a ride that should’ve been under 30 minutes is just ridiculous. I really think they need to implement a flat-rate system to prevent customers from being overcharged based on the situation. I’d recommend confirming rates in advance or using a rideshare app with upfront pricing whenever possible."
