"Miami International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, and for good reason — it does a lot of things right. The layout is huge and can feel overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, the terminals are fairly easy to navigate thanks to clear signage and plenty of moving walkways. There’s also a wide range of food and shopping options, from quick grab-and-go bites to sit-down restaurants that reflect Miami’s culture and international vibe. Security and customs here are generally efficient considering the sheer volume of travelers that pass through every day. Lines can get long during peak hours, but the staff usually keeps things moving. I’ve also found the airport to be clean and well-maintained, with plenty of seating areas and charging stations available — a big plus when you’re waiting out a layover. The one area that keeps me from giving MIA a full five stars is the congestion. Traffic outside the airport is often hectic, and baggage claim can feel chaotic when multiple flights arrive at once. Still, for such a large international hub, Miami does a solid job of balancing efficiency with amenities. Overall, MIA is a strong airport experience — not perfect, but definitely one of the better large airports in the U.S."

"The airport is convenient with a single terminal, eliminating the need for terminal transfers or shuttle buses. However, expect significant walking as the SkyTrain is unreliable, with frequent breakdowns of escalators or the train itself. When functional, the SkyTrain is helpful. The airport offers numerous lounges and generally efficient security. It’s a major hub for American Airlines, providing a wide range of international flights. Taxis and rideshare services are plentiful. Daily parking costs $30."

"We flew into Miami from Greensboro, for a connecting flight to San Salvador. You get off the plane on the tarmac but luckily they have a covered walkway because it’s a long walk to the terminal Al and it is hot. It’s a bit confusing but they do have employees directing you at certain locations so you don’t get lost. They have a lot of bilingual employees which is great for an international airport that gets people from all over the world. However, a few of those employees have an attitude and are not very helpful. The airport itself is a maze and huge. We were lucky that our connecting flight was very close. If not you would have to take the tram to wherever your connection is. Lots of walking which is tiring and some people can get lost and confused very easily. Hope we do t ever get stuck here like the last TWO times. Once even having to rent a car and drive 13 hours to get back because they could not give is a flight for 3 days! Hoping this trip goes better as well as the returning flight that also connects here!"
