That’ll get your heart racing. We planned a trip to Hawaii 9 months ago and booked Sunrise Shuttle four months out. A shuttle is expensive but we wanted vacation to start right when we left the house. Two families and three car seats. Car seats, you know, those crucial safety devices required by law? We were glad to pay for someone to take away the stress of getting to the airport. To summarize so far: we booked and paid for three cars seats. We called four days ahead specifically to confirm that we needed three car seats. Apparently, Sunrise Shuttle operates under a different legal system, where car seats are optional and customers are expected to improvise. When the driver showed up I asked to check that the car seats were installed correctly. He looked perplexed. I saw an empty van (no carseats) and asked where they were. He first insisted we never ordered them. Then he checked his phone and I saw his shoulders slump. He admitted he forgot. His brilliant solution? He could go get them and be back in an hour? No, that won’t work because we would miss our flight. So then he suggests we should just use our own car seats. Sure, buddy, great idea. And how would we get them back? He promised Sunrise Shuttle would hand-deliver our car seats a week later when we get home. Hard pass. Faced with either missing our flight or trusting this operation with our children’s safety, we had to scramble. We loaded up and drove ourselves. So instead of a smooth and relaxing trip to the airport, we started our vacation with a stress test. Oh, and this wasn’t our first run-in with Sunrise Shuttle’s commitment to chaos. A year and a half ago, they actually did bring car seats—but the driver didn’t know how to install them. Oh, they need to be attached to the vehicle? Who knew? That should have been our warning sign, but we foolishly gave them another chance. Never again. Save yourself the hassle and go with literally any other company. Or just walk—it’ll be more reliable. EDIT: the manager wrote and offered to pay me to remove this review. His email is below: “Hi Chris, This is Peter from Sunrise Shuttle. I believe your group have good time in this Hawaii trip. I want to say sorry again for my driver’s bad job on Feb 16 morning. Even we provide car seats to customer free of use, but this is our fault anyway. I realize you have to parking own car at airport economic parking lot. To apologize and show our sincerity, we like to pay all the parking fees for you and your friends. Let me know the amount please. By the way, I saw you write a review on Google. 1 star would hurt our credibility and not good for our business. Could you please remove it? "Great service. They were on time to pick us up and the ride to the airport was pleasant and smooth. The pick up from the airport was exceptional. We deplaned got our bags and like magic our driver was there ready to take us home. Highly recommend, the drivers are very very polite and courteous."

"Super easy to coordinate with. Always responsive via email or text. I'm not from the US and I needed a ride from San Francisco to Sacramento. They are so organized -- asked how many bags / luggage I had so that they could recommend the right car. They were prompt and on time! My ride came 15 mins ahead of scheduled meet up. Driver was so nice and let me stop for bathroom and coffee break. All in all a GREAT experience."
