"It’s been a great pleasure learning with you all. Everyone was very professional and helpful. I especially want to thank my instructor, Casandra — she did an amazing job and helped me pass the road test smoothly. No stress, no pressure — keep up the great work! Best, Aleksandr"- Aleksandr
"I do not recommend Blue Steel Auto School for beginners or anyone with driving anxiety. I paid for 9 lessons btw As someone who never drove before and deals with anxiety, I was expecting patience and real instruction. Instead, I got the opposite. • The instructor made rude comments instead of guiding me with patience. He said things like “You have bad steering direction” and “You’re driving like a drunk person.” How would I not have bad steering if I’ve never driven a car before? Instead of helping, it felt like I was being mocked. • He also said, “How did you forget already?” when I hadn’t even been taught the skill properly. I felt like I was being rushed instead of trained. • The “teaching” was just telling me what to do, with no breakdown or explanation of why. That’s not how beginners learn especially not while driving around Utica Avenue, where the roads are constantly busy and chaotic. • The car smelled like weed smoke. That didn’t personally bother me, but the lady at the front desk literally asked me how I felt about the car smelling like smoke because other people had already complained about it. So clearly, I wasn’t the only one noticing that. • Their policies feel very one-sided. When I missed a class, they said I couldn’t make it up I lost my money( no problem this is my fault ) When I woke up sick and called ahead early to reschedule, I was told I couldn’t and that I’d have to come in or lose another class. First of all why would you even want someone to drive while sick ? Meanwhile, I was cancelled on last minute the night before i had my lesson in the morning . Another lesson I had my instructor showed up 20 minutes late but still ended class at the original time. That’s not okay. • Other classes were also ending 10–15 minutes early, meaning I consistently got less time than I paid for. • After all that, I still don’t feel confident. I was not properly taught how to reverse, turn, or build basic driving skills. I barely know how to use the gas and brake confidently. I had to push back my road test because I didn’t feel prepared at all. If you already know how to drive, maybe this school will work for you. But if you’re a true beginner, or you deal with any form of anxiety, this is not the school for you. Find somewhere that actually takes time to teach, supports beginners, and respects the money you’re investing in your future. I don’t know how this place is getting five stars. Maybe it depends on the instructor, but based on my experience, it was not worth it. Save your money and your time."- Asia Lee
"Just received my pass from the dmv and wanted to say thank you to blue steel. They were the 2nd driving school I tried and the difference was CLEAR. my instructor was Casandra and I could not be more grateful for a patient thorough instructor. I can’t say a big enough thank you to her and the rest of blue steel for working with me to acquire this skill. You won’t be disappointed in using them. 🙂"- Sharnel Mathurin
