"Posting this for my son who completed his Class A training at the Joliet location. All the instructors at the Joliet location were fantastic to be taught by. They were all there because they wanted to teach the new students, not to collect a check. They all try there hardest to make you a great driver. Al, Dave, Keith, John, Bill, Rich, and Steve were always a pleasure to learn from. No nonsense guys, gave straight answers. There is a mountain of information you have to absorb in a short amount of time, 160 hours is not enough to learn everything you will learn over a 20 year career, but they were all motivated to make sure you learn the corriculum and they even try to squeeze in some real world information. Special thanks to Marlo and Marsha! As well as a thank you to Joliet Junior College for letting us use the campus. Good luck on your journey if you pursue a career in transportation! I highly recommend 160 Driving Academy in Joliet if you do so. God bless everyone! - Jacob"

"My experience at 160 Driving Academy of Joliet was phenomenal. All the driving instructors were exceptional and had a great deal of knowledge and experience in the field. From learning parts, skills, in cab and the driving itself, they all did a great job at teaching us everything. They made sure we learned everything we had to in order to get our Class A CDL. 100% recommended!"

"I started this journey with Progressive Truck Driving School in Lansing, IL, and unfortunately faced major challenges—especially with skills training, like the reverse offset maneuver. The experience was marked by a lack of structure, limited practice time in the trucks, and minimal participation from instructors. Eventually, I made the choice to go to 160 Driving Academy, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I enrolled, everything became more organized. I appreciated the structured training, consistent access to trucks for hands-on practice, and instructors who were not only patient, but proactive and fully committed to helping students succeed. They focused on helping us understand not just how to control the vehicle, but how to test—and pass. That consistency made all the difference. I passed both my skills and road test with zero points and walked away with my CDL in hand. A special thank you to Bill, Steve, and John—each of them is truly excellent at their craft, and I couldn’t have asked for a more fulfilling experience. Thank you all, and I wish continued success to the entire 160 Driving Academy team—because I know I’ll be continuing mine."
